THE GRIMM HISTORIA Centuries ago, when the world was still young, A Magicborn, skilled in the art of creating magical tomes and books took it upon himself to create a magical artifact, a book in which all of history would be recorded in its pages as it happened. It was known as the Universa Historia However, in the process of creating this book for use by the other Magicborn and Firstborn, the creator purposefully sacrificed himself and his power in order to complete the book's binding and imbue it with it's magical recording abilities and to make it impossible to destroy. However, also with this process the book had gained sentience, although it wasn't much at first, just enough to make it aware of other things around it, but the more it learned through history's accomplishments and mistakes, the more it grew, until it became more than just a simple magical tome filled with history... The tome became both a sentient being and a learning tool for many Magicborn and their fellow higher deities who wanted to learn, and from this the tome learned to note finer details on people and individuals, rather than the broad general history. From this, it learned to develop a personality of its own; strong but still naive and easily influenced. This showed greatly once one Magicborn in particular had met The Universa Historia. He learned much from it at a young age, but this Magicborn in particular wanted the Universa Historia for recording more... specific events in time. However, these events were not the most pleasant ones, but The Universa Historia was more than happy to watch over the disasters filled with pain, suffering, humiliation... ...And Chaos. Even before this specific observation, it became apparent that The Historia Universa had taken a liking to the chaos within history, even the most minuscule amount of discord would give it delight in a manner that one wouldn't think possible for a sentient book. And then The Historia learned that it could actually influence these events itself, --although not directly-- using the powerful magic that was bestowed upon it by its creator. It only got worse from there. Historia then reveled in the chaos it caused, still traveling among the realm of the Magicborn to share its abundance of knowledge, but it seemed to prefer one deity in particular, who had plans to change the world himself--however History didn't care for ruling, changing anything or power, all it cared for is how much trouble it could cause in the process. However, when this particular Magicborn fell, so did The Histora; said to be too dangerous and powerful. It was said to cause more harm than help and was sealed deep into one of the Earthly Realms, where no earthly could ever uncover it. was here where the Universa Historia was no longer known as such. The Universa Historia became the Grimm Historia. However, just because it was sealed up, didn't mean it didn't keep doing its job.. Years passed before the Grim Historia was seen again, however, this time it had a different purpose. It was only partially aware of the world around it, and it longed so badly to return to the world that brought it such joy in chaos, however it needed help to escape its prison... So it made a point to find those that it could... easily influence with just a little nudge... A young, perhaps foolish, warrior that knew no fear.
A powerful winged beast who's wrath and rage was known far and wide.
A Thief who's deceit hid his name from history and his enemies.
A prince who's pride would bring about the end of a kingdom.
A young Witch who's guilt from the death of her sister drove her mad.
A executioner who may have been a little to eager to perform his job of handling those sentenced to death.
A rich southern millionaire who's greed got the best of him.
A young elf who was desperately lusting after men.
A young, poor orphan who envied those better off than him.
A popular rock star who was too lazy to even make it to her own concerts.
A beast who's ignorance would bring about the end of him and those whom he held dear
A guardian who's greed consumed his life and destroyed the lives of those who depended on him.
For these vessels would be the ones to bring him the power he needed to come back to the world he enjoyed oh so very much...

THE DEADLY SHADOWS The Deadly shadows are a result of the Grimm Historia, and its interference in the lives of mortals who may have unfortunately stumbled upon its influence. The Shadows themselves have been around for many centuries, Chaos being the 'father' of all the shadows. Most of the Shadows derive from the 7 deadly sins, but some are embodiments of negative traits or emotions that mortals experience from day to day. What makes these creatures so odd is that they aren't your normal creatures of darkness. The shadows work like--well, think of them as reverse ghosts. Ghosts need a host or physical object to posses in order to influence things, where as shadows need a soul for their body to be powered, kind of like a battery. Each of these shadows are only a small piece of the Grimm Historia. When the vessels were manifested, they each needed a soul to power them, and what better way to power them with the souls of mortals? Not like they're doing anything important with them, right? Throughout history, these shadows may have been recorded as monstrous creatures or demons, as many had never seen them before. The shadows themselves each have different attributes and powers, but a few things that they had in common were: -they were semi-physical creatures, able to transverse between shadows; whether they be cast naturally or otherwise. -they each had the ability to influence people emotionally, physically and magically, according to their 'trait'. -They have an extreme weakness to holy elements, but -they thrive in the dark and off the emotion they stem from.Each time a shadow was destroyed, the damaged vessel would return to it's resting place and the soul would be released, waiting for another soul to power it...However, there are no records of them within history ever being vanquished, simply vanishing once their job was done.... However, it appears now that some of them have been slain recently... CHAOS: ???
FEAR: Gunhilde The Fearless ( 790 - 1066 )
WRATH: Thanthros The Terrible ( 800 - 1068 )
GUILT: Alvira Blackwood, The Guilty Witch ( 1580 - 1606 )
PRIDE: Prince Theodamus Lionel (???)
DECEIT: Ito Saracco; The Masked Thief ( 1603-1786 ) Ito Saracco was a mysterious thief who traveled across Ritalo, stealing great treasures from all whom he met. One would think that someone who stole such great treasures would have their face plastered all over, however that was simply not the case with Ito. He was excellent at what he did, nobody knew his face, only his mask, which got him the name "Manquant le Visage" or "No-Face". You see, Ito wasn't the kind of thief that did his work under the cloak of night like most. He was so skilled, he could do it in broad daylight, and nobody would be any the wiser until he was long gone. He had the uncanny talent to change his face at a whim, leaving him to look like the most unassuming person in a crowd. He only chose high-rolling game; stealing from commoners and peasants was something he saw as a disgrace and un-challenging; why steal from the poor for a few coins a day, when he could steal from the upper class and be set for the whole year?
However, even the best deceivers can be deceived. One night, he slipped himself into a gathering of Vyital's upper-class aristocrats, planning to rob them blind during their party.. however, it was not as it seemed. As he slipped in, he suddenly found that all eyes were on him--and him only. The people lost their shapes and form, becoming towering, dripping, slimy masses of shadow, as the building caved in on him. He tried his best to escape, but it was no use, as the darkness dragged him down into the night, silently and without a trace...
His reputation and legends faded along with him...
--- --- ---
DECEIT appears as a tall, slender humanoid demon, with a mask for a face, crooked horns and a ripped cloak around his thin frame. He's fast, clever and enjoys stealing from others, however this can also be a weakness for him, as he can be distracted easily by an opportunity to do as such. He has the ability to slip into shadows, and teleport between them, and even completely disappear within them. He can mimic anyone he sees down to every exact aspect, including personality. However, as dangerous as he seems, he's rather carefree and uninterested in matters that don't involve him lying to someone. He has a very hard time telling the truth, even to his partners. {Theme}
DEATH: Zechiriah Ackerman; The Regretful Executioner ( 1792 - 1801 )
GREED: Mr. Isidore Reeds; The Greedy Entrepreneur ( 1782 - 1802 )
LUST: Lysara Morningstar; The Lustful Elf ( 1800 - 1850 )
ENVY: Claudius; The lonely Orphan ( 1840 - 1900 ) Claudius was a young human boy, orphaned at a young age. He spent the majority of his life living in the slums and backstreets of Coin city, unable to do anything but watch as the city developed, making the wealthy better off and those like him left in the dirt and rough. He tried begging for a while, but was often ignored by all whom he asked. He was happy for the few strangers that were kinds to him, however he knew it wouldn't be enough for him to survive... So he had no choice to resort to thievery.
He was able to sustain himself for a few months stealing what little he could, mostly food and clothing. Just when he thought that he had finally found some sort of norm for him to live by, he was caught by a particular irate citizen running a food stand. Rather than taking him into the police, the man took it upon himself to punish Claudius, beating him unconscious and tossing him back into the alleyways like the rat he was. When Claudius woke, he cried. He was envious of all those who were better off than him always getting what they needed.. what they wanted. It wasn't fair, and he hated it. It was only a matter of time until he started acting out of spite to the people he stole. Not only would he steal, but he would break and take things from them that they cherished, all out of envy. But it didn't make him happy, only more angry at the fact that he wouldn't ever be able to be like them. But there was nothing more he could do.
One night however, a man wearing all white came upon him, showing Claudius pity and promising him to give him exactly what he needed. Exactly what he wanted...--- --- --- ENVY takes the form of a very tall, very slender man in a ruined suit, with snow white skin, and pitch black hair and eyes. He has six long, slender arms, each hand on each arm having long, clawed fingers that are just as slender. He has the ability to make others want things that others around them have, and has the ability to give them these things as well, but only three times. After the third request, he can take control of the person, making them want things that they never even wanted in the first place. However, Envy appears to be very unsure of himself, and isn't very assertive with his methods, and can be talked down and discouraged very easily. {Theme}
SLOTH: Megara; The Lazy Rockstar ( 1960 - 1974 )
IGNORANCE: Ruxham Bloodsworth, The Wise Scholar ( 1350 - 1432 )
GLUTTONY: Thandrae the Greedy Dragon ( 1454 - 2000 )
Thandrae was a kind, powerful and well-known guardian to a large village and it's people for many, many years. Able to control weather, this dragon would use his power to keep the village safe from harm and to bring them appropriate weather for their crops to thrive and grow, which would always bring them bountiful harvests. Due to this, the villagers would always bring him many gifts, often in the form of food, and he would accept it happily... However, over the years, he slowly grew complacent and gluttonous, doing whatever the villagers needed in exchange for food.
One day, a strange villager dressed in dark garbs came offering him a simple basket of fruit in exchange for watering his crops. Of course, Thandrae all too quickly accepted...and found that his gluttony became his undoing. After that day, he simply vanished, and the village descended into chaos. A powerful storm swept across the land, washing away the village in a flood... --- --- --- GLUTTONY has the appearance of a large, overweight, pig-like demon that has thousands of writhing tentacles in place of where his feet should be. He is always covered in a thick layer of slick grease and wreaks of rotten food. He has a bottomless stomach and eat virtually anything--whether it be physical or otherwise. He can also spit up his stomach acids which can dissolve through flesh and other materials easily. The more he eats, the bigger and stronger he grows, however he becomes virtually immobile. He can influence others with insatiable hunger. {Theme}
