A special task force from the future that have been engaged in major conflicts against the Scarlet Hearts that could eventually rule over the planet, Peacekeepers are the very last line of defense for the only human settlement left; Resolve.
Peacekeepers are made to perform several tasks, mainly;
1. Are immune to becoming Scarlet Hearts, as their capability to feel emotions have been removed or in the case that they were built, are not integrated.
2. Are equipped to resist and counter the powers Scarlet Hearts have, which would also mean the original's powers as well.
3. Are built to b versatile but excel in crowd control and stomping out resistance.
They have 4 main paradigms that are made not only for defending Resolve, but expanding its grounds for more expansion of defenses.
-Tower: A defensive peacekeeper, they are equipped with a multitude of ranged weaponry that tear down the enemy's lines with a relentless onslaught of firepower. They stand firm, much like a tower, and are similarly hard to topple, but they are capable of defending themselves through melee. Many incorporate their weapons into a close combat encounter to give them enough edge to fend off someone who has gotten too close to shoot normally.
-Guard: A heavy peacekeeper, these types are the paradigms that go out on the main lines to engage in combat with the Scarlet Hearts. They are equipped with melee or ranged weapons that pack heavy punches. Typically they have a special piece of gear that is meant for defense like a protective barrier wall or one that coats the body of allies that remain near. They can easily shrug off attacks as they strike them, most would possible bounce off them.
-Vessel: A highly offensive peacekeeper, this one is a ranged peacekeeper that sports a single special weapon that is meant for destroying large groups of Scarlet Hearts and their bases. Their weapon can range from barrage missile launchers to heavy laser cannons that tear through walls and people alike. Unlike towers, due to their artillery weaponry, they are less capable at CQC than the others, but make up for it with equipment to assist them in being more versatile such as jetpacks and boosters.
-Hunters: A class of peacekeepers that is equally offensive and defensive. Their name is their purpose, they hunt down scarlet hearts either within Resolve or outside of it, taking them down with overwhelming one on one combat. They have no specialization in ranged or melee, but often, like other paradigms, are equipped with both, but hunters are known for having equipment meant for isolating and capturing Scarlet hearts as well. As effective as they are in destroying Scarlet Hearts, they are on the opposite end of the spectrum from Vessels, in that they are less effective in solo situations against several enemies at once.
All paradigms of peacekeepers are not inherently useless in fields they aren't specialized in, and often have equipment attached to them that are meant to make up for these fields they lack in.
In total, there are normally 30 Peacekeepers, 26 of them are named after the phonetic alphabet, while the last 4 are numbered.
Known Peacekeepers:
Que(Hunter)
November(Tower)
Victoria (Guard)
(I will update this at a later date for a better description)
