NAME: Owen Tobias
GENDER: Male
AGE: 32 (Deceased)
RACE: Altered Human
BIRTH DATE: May 3rd
PROFESSION: Scientist, Researcher and Director of AXIS World Organization. A Revolutionary who seeks to bring change to the world.
WEAPONS: None, however he is skilled in physical combat.
POWERS: Aside from his mastermind like abilities, and the ability to sway others to his way of thinking, He has altered his body to be stronger, faster and far more durable than a regular human, even able to go toe to toe with super-powered mythos. He has also modified himself so he has the ability to manipulate and absorb any type of energy, however it is unknown if this hurts him or not.
PERSONALITY: Owen has a stoic, jaded personality, and finds very little joy in the world, seeing it as a place that has been ruined by the selfishness and overindulgence of sentient creatures in general. He is rarely if ever intimidated by anything, and keeps his behavior professional and impersonal. He has very little respect for others and often looks down upon many others, save for a few--an exception being some members of the guild, who go out of their way to perform impossible feats and save the world from several impending disasters-- however he sees their actions as fruitless, as he feels the world is doomed either way, be it from an external force or destroyed and ravished by the selfishness of humanity. He is also a very immaterial person, seeing physical possessions as tools rather than giving them value. The only thing that seems to bring a touch of warmth to his otherwise cold personality are the children he apparently raised on his own. He wishes to give them the ultimate gift; a new world free of corruption and selfish values--a clean slate for them to do with as they wish.
APPEARANCE: Coming Soon; Owen Tobias stands at an intimidating 7' 7".

BACKSTORY:
{Backstory}From a very young age, Alexander was always engrossed in learning and understanding--be it magic, technology or otherwise, he was always eager to learn, create and help others with his creations--even if they were a bit eccentric. At around 25 he quickly became a recognized member of the scientific community with his discoveries, inventions and progressive research. Around the same time, he was happily married--his wife being a University Professor. Only a few years later did he have a son, which he and his wife named Owen. His life was happy and simple outside of his research; he loved his family, and his family loved him.
But things took a turn south when his wife was killed in a fatal car accident one day home from school. His work and motivation too a big hit, as he stepped aside to care for his son, whom now had no mother, and was only 10 years old. Despite the tragic event that took away a part of their family, Alexander and Owen were able to find bonding time in this moment, the two of them becoming closer as a family. When Alexander got back on his feet, he began working harder than ever on his research and projects, eventually creating starting on the ORION Project and founding AXIS--which was originally created as a progressive research lab that would create helpful and innovative technology to help the world.
However, he became so wrapped up in his research that he was oblivious to the fact that he was neglecting to give attention to his child. Sure, he had it well, and access to anything that he would need, but not what he wanted--and what he wanted was his father's attention. Alexander failed to see that there was a fall-out between him and his son--and it wasn't as if he didn't care or love his son, he just failed to show it.
Little did he know, this would kick off a terrible chain reaction, that would almost spark another war between Man and Mythos...
Only about ten years into AXIS' creation, there was a very sudden and hostile take over, which flipped AXIS on its head and left Alexander reeling in shock. Owen became bitter and jaded in his attempts to act out for attention for his father, and thus has resorted to drastic measures: Taking away what his father had created--and he did it all underneath his nose-- Owen was an incredibly bright child as well, and very skilled at manipulating and molding people to his will--and he had succeed in sweeping AXIS right out of his father's grasp. He had gathered his own team of scientists and extremists who were willing to carry out his tasks with the weapons they created--and anyone who didn't comply was either quickly expelled or met a terrible end. Either way, Alexander had no way to fight, and had no choice but to flee.
Alexander vanished for years on end, unable to do anything as he watched his son turn his creation into a destructive machine. All he did was blame himself for the actions that his son took. But no matter what he could think up, what creation he could invent, he couldn't find a way to confront his son and this madness he had created. But he had to try something. After carefully creating a false alias for himself, he joined the AA, doing whatever reconnaissance he could on AXIS in it's current state to find some way to take them down. However, one organization in particular caught his eye, when he saw how tirelessly they fought against the plight that was AXIS. For a while, he felt ashamed, ashamed that someone out there was cleaning up his mess that he felt responsible for. So, after hiding for near thirty years, he decided to take action, and go to the guild himself to seek their help. Perhaps with his knowledge, and their skill and power, AXIS could finally be brought to an end...
And after several trials and tribulations, it worked. But it left a rift in the world, a wider divide between Man and Mythos--even though some had been brought closer together, many more had been divided. Now finally taking responsibility for the actions of his son, he created a new organization known as HELIX, and their ultimate goal is to help the world reach peace and unite all creatures of earth.

BACKSTORY:
{Backstory} Like his father, Owen grew up as a brilliant young child, and a quick learner. He was the type of person who liked to dissect things, people and problems down to the very core, study each part of it and then put it back together with a deeper understanding of whatever it was that he took apart. Even as a young child, he was very quick to recognize problems in the world and offer solutions for them--even if they were a little farfetched and eccentric. However, after his mother died in a fatal car accident, he lost motivation to continue, the same way his father did. Despite the situation, the two comforted each other, and found a new bond among the sadness. They became closer as a family, and eventually, helped each other return back to their old selves-- shaken and somewhat changed, but not broken.
However, as time went on, Owen suddenly found himself taking a backseat to his father's work and research-- and he found that he missed his father. A lot. Sure, he had what he needed to be happy and content--but it wasn't what he wanted. He wanted to feel like he was important in his father's life again. So, he began to act out. He began to get into trouble, acting out in the most extreme ways, in a desperate attempt to become a part of his father's life again-- and he felt sickened at his own desperation, desperate at each act he committed, disgusted by his own mistakes that he had to purposely make in order to feel like he had a place in his father's life.
And for a while, it worked. But his father didn't seem to understand why he was committing these acts, and each time, each act got more desperate and desperate. Each act dirtied and stained his soul, each act chipped away a piece of him.
It chipped it away until there was nothing left but bitterness and resentment. He'd seen the world now, it was too late. He'd seen the terrible, bitter things that people were capable of. He had been one of those people. And it disgusted him.
And he blamed his father for it. He blamed his goddamn research, the stupid Orion project, the goddamn advancements in technology, all the endless research and tireless hours his father would be gone.
He hated AXIS. It was his father's pride and joy.
That was suppose to be him...
That was when Owen decided that he would take AXIS away from his dad. And he did. Slowly he wormed his way into the minds of his workers, turning them into jaded, hollowed people that soon shared his thoughts and ideals, broke the heart and minds of workers, and made them feel without purpose, planted the seeds of fear and insecurity into those around him...
And then he promised them something that they would never find in this current world. He promised them the happiness that he had so carefully stolen from them. He promised them the dreams he had callously broken. He promised them the light of hope that he had quietly blotted out from their view. And he knew at that very moment that they had become so sadly desperate that they'd be willing to do anything he asked. He executed his plan swiftly and with precision, that it was almost too easy. The takeover happened in the dead of night, and he didn't even have to directly have a hand in any of it. He simply gave them the tools, the plans, the power, and with desperation and adrenaline pumping through their veins, his 'soldiers' carried out his will. He didn't even care about his father anymore. His father had made his choice already, he abandoned him, and he was fine with that.
But still, there was unrest within him. He thought he would feel relief at this, some sense of accomplishment, but he just felt disgusted. Disgusted with himself. Disgusted with the world. It was then and there he decided he would shed his former self
Quite literally.
He had the scientists change him from who he was, make him better than what he was, and they were eager to do so.
But, his task wasn't finished. He now realized that there was a deeper problem he had to address. He was still disgusted, no longer by himself, but by those around him--even those who had so eagerly joined his cause caused him disgust.
Was the world so terrible that so many would be so desperate to escape from it? And he knew the answer; yes, yes it was.
It was then and there he knew, the world needed a fresh start. That the plagues and mentality of today had to be erased and replaced with a much better way of thinking. That a new standard had to be created for the world in order for it to survive...
And AXIS would be the fire that would cleanse the world of its plague.
