Lua: Also known as Lunarians, the Lua are a race closely related to humans, but their time on earth eventually led to a split between what is now considered man, and a small race that had superior strength and affinity for spirits. Despite there being no tension between the races, paranoia began to settle as worries about extinction in the case that war would ever arrive clouded the Lua's eyes and they fled to safety, the safety of the Moon that is. Using their magic talent over a span of centuries they could create a habitable space on the moon, hidden from man's eyes and protected from the dangers of space by using an artificial layer of earth over the true homeworld which is what is seen from earth.
Distinguishing Features: Due to their similarities in evolution there is very little difference between Humans and Lua, but a few physical features stand out. Their irises hold pupils thin and angled, similar to a thin diamond, their hair has different varieties in colors, as black and blonde are actually rarities. Females do not have pants-like clothing, as they all always wear dresses, even their armor are variants of dresses.
Natural Abilities: Absurd strength but slower movement than their human counterparts, making few Lua capable of fulfilling agile jobs. Fewer Lua own manus, spiritual arms that act as extension of the user's spirit. Lua are incapable of using holy and demonic magic, as they don't believe in holy or hellish entities. Angels and Demons are no different than humans to them, but in addition their manus conflicts with divine energies anyways.
Religious Views: Lua respect a small pantheon of 4 total gods for the Lunarian religion. All 4 gods are based around the self and emotions, soul, good health, and faith. Faith in the gods do not offer the Lua any spellcasting abilities, but instead help in forming manus. Faith is only a small portion, and not necessary to own a manus, as manus are just extensions of the soul.
Lua's Pantheon:
Chia- Goddess of the Stars. Promises Freedom and Ability to control your own fate. Control over Dreams.
Jaci- God of the Sun. Promises power and assurance of safety. Control of the body and health.
Iah- God of the Void. Promises comfort and solitude. Control over Emotions and the Senses.
Yu- Lord of Individuality. Embodies Lua's connection to the spirits and their unique consciousness.
Other Points: They are especially susceptible to disease on Earth, having not grown to become immune to them. Their immune systems are high due to their superior physique, but contracting disease severely cripples them, in many cases it's like poison and can even kill them if left untreated after signs show.

Nephilim
A race of species born of human and mystical blood, the Nephilim are the children of the angels, demons, and humans, born sometimes with extraordinary abilities, while others simply remain normal depending on the mother, but still have the traits within them to possibly give birth to a Nephil. Although for it to be a Nephilim, it has to be mated with the middleman between the angelic and demonic realm, Humanity. In Special cases, if a mystical has the nephilim blood and mates with a human, the child has a possibility of having both the attributes of a demon AND angel in addition to the human features, although such a thing is severely rare and mating between the demonic and angelic are often hypocritically seen as taboo despite it being fine to mate with humans.
Distinguishing Features: All extraordinary Nephilim have the features of both their bloodlines, although the dominant bloodline will have the more prominent features. The bodytype and features are not limited to horns and a demonic tail if demon, or two simple wings if angel, whatever kind of demon or angel that had been in the mating process with have their features added in. If the child is human and the demon had spiky scales or a snake like body, then the child has a chance of gaining those two attributes as in the case of a Seraph giving the child multiple wings. Nephilim that have the mystical side dominant will often have a human "familiar" that broke off from their human half, as a representation of their nephilim blood.
Natural Abilities: Some of the attributes both parents had owned, they can inherit the mystical side's innate magical prowess and supernatural strength while from their human side they can inherit the skill, ingenuity, and survivability of humanity.
Religious Views: They often do not stay true to any religious views if the child is an extraordinary Nephilim as they are typically seen upon as strange or weird to both some mystical and human societies, but just as often they assimilate into their society and live amongst their peers. Due to their abilities, Nephilim are often recruited as guardians and mercenaries.
Other Points: Although they inherit powers, this power is never as strong as the parent's innately, and thus the Nephilim must either improve it out of their own volition or learn an ability of their own and master that power instead.

Pygmy Elves: A variant of elves between dark elf and wood elf. These elves typically live in the desert regions of the world, living in old tombs or building their own to live in and lay their dead. They are not a haughty and curt species like people think elves to be, but are more studious and scholarly so they tend to be courteous to outsiders. However it doesn't change how wary people think of them as practitioners of blood magic and necromancy.
Distinguishing features: As the name says, they are pygmy elves, shorter than the usual elf by several heads are mostly come to the size of a young teen. They are born with muted hair colors, matching their light garbs that reflect their dark magic nature, but are also breezy in many ways with skin showing for comfort in the desert. Their eyes are often brighter than their hair color and typically come in yellow or green. They have more pronounced canines than other non beastman humans, which also gets them often considered Desert Vampires.
Natural Abilities: Despite being a magically attuned race, Pygmies are quite proficient and dexterous, many are hired as assassins or couriers. Though their thin and small body stature leaves them a bit frail for their duties. Being so naturally aligned to the dark leaves them less proficient with other forms of magic and especially troubled with light and fire magic, the two most effective magic at handling the undead.
Religious Views: Death is their religion. They are a peculiar race that supports any religion, as long as there is a being who presides over death. They are self proclaimed servants of death and offer ceremonies to the recently deceased or services for lingering spirits that refuse to pass on. As such, many who leave their clan typically become priests or seers. Their proficiency with dark magic leaves them capable of summoning bones as hard as steal and sewing their own wounds shut with their own blood, leaving them annoying to deal with defensively.
Other Notes: There are avid supporters of rebirth through necromancy in some clans- which is considered taboo- and use it to bring back to life the deceased. Some are purposely sacrificed in order to use their souls to be supplemented to a new body with a new mind, changed by necromancy to have new gifts so they make take on the twisted missions their re-animators give them.

Ruby Ogres: A species of ogre notable for their closer resemblance to demons and humans. They are a race known for their devil-may-care attitude, but honorable tendencies. In the time they were a common race on earth alongside the Humans, Lua, Elves, Demons, and Youkai, they were the strongest at the time due to their superior physique and abilities compared to the other races. However, in spite of that, they were not tyrants, and in fact honed their abilities to aid the world against the monsters and beasts that terrorize the lands. They were seen as heroes. Unfortunately, a manipulative Lua saw them as a threat, and plotted a fake attack on Lua settlements in the ogre's name. Timing it perfectly with the growing paranoia, the Lua wormed his way to positions of power amongst the chaos and led a campaign against the ogres. Eventually, it led to a bombardment of spiritual energy that twisted the Ogre's homeland into deserts and mountains, not longer hospitable with the taint of rogue energy still lingering in the air. With nowhere to go and lacking any firepower to combat the Lua's advanced form of warfare, the Ruby ogres were thinned out and forced into hiding, mistaken for gone extinct. Once the Lua realized what they had done, they escaped to the moon to avoid reprimand from the other races.
Distinguishing features: As ruby ogres, they all have the features of ruby red to reddish orange hair and tanned to exotic skin. They are typically taller than humans, with 5'5" considered short to them. They have thin horns ranging from an inch to 5 inches long that grow on their forehead and can grow one to two horns. They usually stick outwards straight or go straight and then curve up at an angle. The ogres as a whole wear cloth clothing, even their battle garb is entirely made of cloth similar to tunics , robes, and cloaks.
Natural Abilities: A race not entirely proficient with magic, they can at most command one element and even then only reach an adept level. Their true strength lies in their Abilities, which ogres learn by birth or by training, which can range from body strengthening to sending blades of wind from their palms. Coupled with their physical stats which are typically C at least, they are a proud warrior race. Though despite their similarities to oni and normal ogres, they prefer the spear rather than katana or mace, and use javelins at range.
Religious Views: None.
Other Notes: Despite their magical affinity being low, it is not to say they aren't intelligent enough to use mana sources to supplement. They can enchant weapons and cloth using mana fonts as a makeshift smithy. Celari herself was created in such a fashion before she was lost to time.

Rabbitman: A subset of beastman who are youkai. Being born on the moon by their goddess, Chang'e, they are a free spirited and lovable race that are typically seen all over the planet, serving in stores for pottery or plants, studying plant life, acting as veterinarians, and rarely as adventurers. Very few of the peace-loving rabbitmen are fond of the thought of actively going around to fight for money and valor. Granted they are no strangers to the concept of fighting the monsters from their homeworld and on earth for survival, and often hold professional sparring sessions for the public to entertain. Most of them however, end up as househusbands and wives due to their natural allure.
Distinguishing features: It comes without saying that a rabbitman's most prominent features are their ears and tail, which range in type and size like normal rabbit's do. They are never colored anything extravagant like blue or green or purple and rarely come in colors like blonde and ebony. The only cases of bright red hair found is for those branded by the people to be champions, though it was formally used to brand them as exiles. Otherwise, they are no different than normal humans other than a natural allure that attracts the opposite gender quite well.
Natural Abilities: As the animalistic race that descends from rabbits, rabbitmen have the strongest jumps and diving kicks that can be found without altering with magic or abilities. Though their strength otherwise is a bit lacking, they never go above C. Though being rabbits it would be thought they are fast runners, but are much faster jumpers instead, easily able to keep up with breakneck speeds tengu can achieve and even jumping along the surfaces of water. Some accounts of especially strong rabbitmen able to push against the air pressure hard enough to jump in mid-air. Due to this, their minds are sharp to mentally keep up with their speed and high agility. They are decent magicians, and some are granted power from Chang'e directly.
Religious Views: Chang'e is their goddess and their mother. they hold an unfaltering honor towards her, but Chang'e has no demands of her people that this dedication could become problematic. Chang'e is the source of power for their homeland and to particular servants of Chang'e that act as guardians of the Moon and to her people on earth. These abilities granted to guardians grant them the moniker of "Esper" and their powers are particularly based around functions of the body. Electricity from the brain, sound from the vocal chords, armor from the skin, weapons from the bone.
Other Notes: Rabbitmen are particularly capable of shapeshifting, though it only extends to changing forms to that or a child or their adult age. They do this to hide their age, as most rabbitmen have grown tired of being treated as cute and cuddly (which is hard to shake off) and instead take upon themselves as old and wise, giving themselves fake histories and ages in the thousands to enforce this lie. Though honestly, it's more heartwarming and childish that they try to trick people like this even if it's clearly a lie.

Tengu: A primarily avian youkai race, with a fraction of the adopted dogmen. Tengu avians are an outgoing race of entrepreneurs by heart, and scammers at worst. They enjoy interacting with humans and mythos more so than other youkai, and enjoy spreading their influence among the masses. Their morals are questionable at best since it's more so the patience and interest of the tengu that decides whether they will act on goodwill or ignore from disinterest, though not all avians are like this. They cannot stand being in enclosed spaces for too long, their houses are usually outfitted with large windows to enter and exit from. However, they are quite vicious when agitated, and extremely territorial if a competitor arrives.
Dog Tengu are more modest about their relationships with each other and only care to support themselves and those close to them. In fact, many dogmen are paired with avian tengu leaving the village, since dogmen are so trustworthy with those they respect. Though they can be convinced to go out of their way for the good of the whole village if it is a good reason. They are certainly friendly however, despite some of their aloof personalities. After all, their tails and ears betray their words. Unlike the avians, dogmen are not particularly vicious but stalwart, and refuse to leave their friends to a cruel fate.
Distinguishing Features: Avian Tengu are based off birds, typically crows and ravens, but can also come as falcons and eagles. Most prefer a humanoid appearance, but many stick to an anthromorphic visage for simplicity, or intimidation. Regardless, their features otherwise don't differ much from human's other than wings sprouting from their back.
Dogmen are much like Tengu in this way, but with dog ears and tails of various species of dog, wolf, and other canines. They too can assume an annthromorphic visage, but it is closer to lycantrophic transformation rather than assuming a new appearance, they can however assume whichever gender they wish, which allows them to easily disguise themselves if necessary.
Natural Abilities: Avian tengu are unike rabbitmen and do not fit their stereotype. They are not birds with fragile bones and nor do they flutter away in the sight of danger. They are quite strong, and in fact are known to challenge onis to bouts of pure strength as a past time. They are extremely fast fliers as well, able to keep up with rotary planes. Though they care less for magic as a race born with masterful affinities to the wind, and due to their strength carry heavier steel tools like greatfans and bludgeons.
Dogmen Tengu are closer to their stereotype, though are weaker to their avian allies strength wise. They instead boast the fastest land movement speed to keep up with their flying brethren, easily able to reach up to 300 km/h if they can build up to speed. Their lycantrophy can help them balance the scales of strength while trading speed, but a slow dogman is a dead dogman. They instead embrace their speed with smaller and less cluttered gear and weapons.
Both of the races are found of leather, light metal, and hard leather armors as they come from the far east.
Religious Views: Avians are light followers of Buddhism and embrace his ways to keep themselves contained, often inviting human and other youkai monks to their village on their pilgrimage to pray and offer places to rest. keeping theirselves contained refers to their habits of scamming people, and it encourages them to be on their best behavior for the sake of their village.
Dogmen are a little more confucianist than Buddhist, as it fits their mindset, but otherwise have no real dedication.
Other Points: Avians and Dogmen are like rabbitmen, and their emotions show easily through their animal features, much to their dismay. Dogmen have been known to have good relations with western mythos like Demons and Elves due to their naturally friendly behavior, though Avians are mostly on associate terms with western mythos in general.
